Course Description

This course is a study of the systematic elimination of the various parts of a system or process to locate a malfunctioning part. You will obtain a knowledgeable understanding of the key symbols and abbreviations associated with the electrical trade, acquire a comprehensive understanding of the various devices associated with an electrical circuit, synthesize a number of electrical components associated with a viable sequence of operation, recognize a malfunctioning circuit through proper meter application, and apply informed terminology while troubleshooting and restoring a malfunction.

Course Outline

1. Be able to identify the various line types
2. Be able to identify the various views and their correct projection
3. Know the meaning of abbreviations and symbols
4. Identify the sequence of machining operations
5. Be able to sketch and dimension parts legibly
6. Identify drawing revisions
7. Identify and interpret drawing notes
8. Identify the various information in the print title block
9. Read welding drawings

You must have an advanced understanding of Industrial Electricity to enroll in this course.
