Course Description

Throughout this course, we'll cover topics such as hydraulic principles, components, circuits, maintenance, and troubleshooting. Whether you're interested in understanding the fundamentals of hydraulic systems or mastering advanced concepts, our curriculum has something for everyone. Through a combination of theoretical knowledge and practical exercises, you'll learn how to design, operate, and maintain hydraulic systems effectively.

Course Outline

  •  Identify and explain how to safely check for hydraulic leaks
  •  Interpret hydraulic symbols and correlate to actual hydraulic components.
  •  Interpret and explain pressure, volume, temperature, force, and speed relationships in a hydraulic circuit.
  •  Maintain hydraulic systems operations, including basic maintenance of system fluid.
  •  Identify and explain the parts and ports on hydraulic components.
  •  Identify and explain the methods of control in a hydraulic circuit.
  •  Predict the operation of a hydraulic circuit based on the hydraulic print.
  •  Assemble a hydraulic circuit using circuit prints and lab station equipment.
  •  Demonstrate the assembled circuit operates correctly.
  •  Recognize hydraulic components based on physical appearance and functionality.
  •  Explain how fluid power components function by identifying the ISO symbol on hydraulic system schematics.
  •  Interpret and demonstrate basic troubleshooting of a hydraulic system.
  •  Explain the sequence of operation by analyzing the circuit schematic.
