Course Description

This is an introductory course that will cover the set-up and operation of ethernet with factory floor devices (PLCs) for the purpose of communication. On day one, students will start from the ground up covering everything from the setup of IP addresses for PLCs to basic cabling and networking hardware. Days two and three will then build on that knowledge when students learn about the operation of DeviceNet networks while also diving into RSNetWorx and RSLinx programming. Subjects covered will include component scan lists, scanner tags, advanced component mapping of drives, manual node commissioning, and much more all while working with Allen Bradley ControlLogix systems.
