Course Description

An introductory course covering the basic concepts of troubleshooting. The course will focus on using a systematic approach and team concept in identifying and  solving problems encountered in the workplace. This course will show the basic concepts of troubleshooting mechanical, electrical, hydraulic, and pneumatic systems.

Course Outline

  1. Define what is meant by troubleshooting.
  2. Identify at least 12 different components of troubleshooting.
  3. Describe the systematic approach to troubleshooting as demonstrated in class.
  4. Explain what must be considered before starting and during troubleshooting.
  5. Identify the four common attitudes encountered in troubleshooting.
  6. Describe how each of these four attitudes can affect the troubleshooting outcome .
  7. Name the 5 basic tools and how they are used in troubleshooting.
  8. List the steps used in solving the problem.
